Context

Ice Face Studio is a premium beauty studio in Barcelona specializing in facial treatments and face massages. They use top-brand products and modern devices to deliver regular treatments focused on firmer, brighter skin.

Despite a strong in-person reputation, their online presence had foundational gaps. Organic search was essentially non-existent — not because the content was missing, but because the technical infrastructure was.

The problems

No structural hierarchy — Page titles were inconsistent and unclear. H1 tags were missing or duplicated. Search engines couldn't parse the content hierarchy.

Broken indexing — No sitemaps existed, no robots.txt, no canonical tags. Google had no reliable map of the site. Indexing status was unclear across the board.

Disconnected tracking — Search Console and GA4 were improperly connected. There was no baseline data to measure against, no visibility into what was or wasn't working.

Missing structured data — No Schema markup for LocalBusiness, Organization, or Breadcrumbs. The studio was invisible to rich search features that drive local discovery.

Bilingual complexity — The studio serves both English and Spanish-speaking clients in Barcelona, but had no language-specific SEO strategy.

Our approach

The project followed five structured milestones:

1. Audit & index hygiene

Full crawl audit to identify every structural issue. Cleaned up orphan pages, fixed redirect chains, and established a baseline of what Google could actually see.

2. Search Console & GA4 setup

Connected properties correctly. Built baseline dashboards for impressions, clicks, and indexed page counts. Established clean measurement from day one.

3. Content structure system

  • Created H1/H2 hierarchy per page type
  • Developed meta title and description templates with clear brand structure
  • Standardized bilingual content architecture (EN/ES)
  • Optimized image alt text across all pages

4. Technical SEO infrastructure

  • Implemented HTML and XML sitemaps
  • Configured robots.txt and canonical tags
  • Set up proper hreflang tags for bilingual pages
  • Fixed crawl budget waste from duplicate/thin pages

5. Structured data & performance

  • Added Organization, LocalBusiness, and Breadcrumb schema
  • Optimized Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP)
  • Established performance monitoring baselines
